Migraine Associated Dizziness

What is migraine associated with dizziness?

Typically, a migraine causes:

  • Headache symptoms; throbbing or pulsing
  • Feeling sick; nausea
  • Sensitivity to light and sound

Balance symptoms are experienced by about 1/3 of people with migraines. These symptoms may include:

  • Dizziness
  • Sensitivity to visual motion in the environment
  • Sensitivity to head and body movement

Migraine associated dizziness is a form of migraine, in which balance symptoms occur with a migraine. Many people with migraine associated dizziness experience these symptoms during “headache free” periods.
