I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2020. Through my studies I found a strong interest in neuroscience and neuroplasticity and knew I wanted to work in neurological rehabilitation.
Since graduating I have worked in various clinical areas including acute stroke, neurosurgery, general medicine, orthopaedic and trauma units. I relocated to the United Kingdom in 2023 on a two year visa to further my personal and professional experiences. Here I worked at different hospitals in the NHS and spent the majority of my time working at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability, in rehabilitation and long-term care. This has given me a particularly strong interest in working with clients after a brain injury. I love the impact Occupational Therapy can have on an individual’s quality of life through optimising participation and independence in personally meaningful activities.
I am very excited to be relocating back to the Sunshine Coast to be back around family and friends and continue to work in my area of interest. Outside of work I love travelling, exploring new cafes and restaurants, being outdoors running, hiking and camping, and spending time at the beach (often with a coffee in hand)!
